Lost Abbey Saint’s Devotion at GABF

Message Dogbrick P beers 18609 º places 883 º 08:23 Wed 10/24/2012 It appears Devotion is different than Saint’s Devotion: Old Forum Post There is only an entry for an ’08 Saint’s Devotion in the DB right now. Lost Abbey won a medal for Saint’s Devotion at GABF so would that have been a newer one, or does the existing entry for Saint’s Devotion need to purge the specific year? Medal Winners Any help/suggestions would be appreciated!

If it is new then unless the recipe is different I would guess that they’ll just drop the 08 and put a note in the commercial description.

They were pouring the beer from pitchers so I don’t think they were bottled (or from 08), and since it was entered in the competition it leads me to believe it is a current batch (not sure if you are allowed to enter vintage beers). Can’t find anything online that leads me to believe it is a different recipe. Cheers!
Message t0rin0 P beers 102 º places 1528 º 09:13 Wed 10/24/2012 I dont know if its normal to serve old beers at GABF but I’ve heard that Sam Adams sends in 12oz bottles of Millennium every year. Is it possible to see all the entries at GABF?

Or else remind me and I’ll ask when I’m there for the barrel dinner in a week and a half.

Message hophead84 13:37 Fri 10/26/2012 It was a new batch brewed for GABF this year. They sold a limited amount of date stamped bottles of it at the tasting room recently.

Message rcubed beers 35 º 09:56 Sun 10/28/2012 They were pouring it from bottles at the SD Brewer’s Guild booth. I thought it was the regular version until I had a taste and it clearly had Brett in it.
Message beercation beers 2 º places 4 º 08:47 Fri 12/21/2012 My GF bought two bottles at the brewery for $25/each. Recently, I noticed that there is some brown goo oozing around the cork. I heard Lost Abbey has issues sealing their bottles, and I was wondering if I should get a refund for this.
